3SC Humbled In AITEO Cup as NPFL Status Hangs in the Balance

This is not the best of times for fans of the Oluyole Warriors as the attempt of redemption by their team in the AITEO cup (formerly Federations Cup) came to naught in Uyo as they were soundly defeated by Akwa United by Five goals to one on Wednesday 13th September 2017 at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.

The club has since apologized to its fan for the humiliating loss via their official twitter handle.

However, there remains a slight glimmer of hope that the team may retain its NPFL status as the abandoned match between Gombe United and Wikki Tourist is due to be continued and concluded tomorrow 16th September 2017 from the point which it was abandoned. El-kanemi sports complex in Maiduguri is the venue chosen for the continuation of the match which is to be played behind closed doors.

Shooting Stars FC and its fans hang on to a glimmer of hope that Gombe United would triumph over Wikki Tourist who they can edge out on goal difference to beat the drop.
