Did your eyes almost pop out of their sockets when you saw this? It’s true! Hillsong is finally coming to Nigeria. I am sure you are excited to know that one of our favourite foreign gospel band is being hosted in Nigeria. By who?
The award-winning Australian gospel band is being hosted by “JoshuaVille”, the youth expression of Redeemed Christian Church of God. Redeemed Christian Church of God is a Pentecostal megachurch and denomination founded in Lagos, Nigeria with several daughter churches across the country.
How the event organisers managed it still remains a mystery considering the fact that that it has been a cause of collective clamour from both members and non-members of the church for a long time now.
Virtually every foreign gospel artiste has been to our shores courtesy The Experience, House on The Rock’s mega end of year gospel concert, or the Night of Worship, but Hillsong, never.
For this, we say a hearty “God bless you” to JoshuaVille, the youth expression of Redeemed Christian Church of God and the organizers of Night of Worship.
Night of Worship will be taking place on November 16, 2018.
The venue is yet to be announced but seeing as Hillsong is coming, they better choose a spacious and grand venue.
It’s doubtful last year’s venue (Grenadines Open Ground, Landmark Road, off Ligali Ayorinde Street) will take the crush of human beings who’ll like to see their favourite gospel artists play live this year.
It’s also not clear which of the Hillsong music bands will be coming- United or Young and Free. However, it will be an incredible pleasure and honour to see Darlene Zschech and Reuben Morgan live.
Whoever shows up, we are totally excited!
