Fashion and Beauty Business (FABB) is the first of it’s kind in the city of Ibadan, a gathering of intellectuals in the fashion industry. The fashion workshop served as a precursor to the runway F-art-shion show held at the escalator side of the Palms Mall Ibadan.
The Guest speakers at the events were Yoma Victor, Oyenike e Adeleke, Femi Darabidan, amongst others who are seasoned professional cutting across varying fields from fashion, to finance, investment, entrepreneurship, and nation-building.
Tiwa Adegbenro (Tiwa The Tailor) highlighted the need to starting and avoiding the limitations of excuses to reach her goal. Another speaker Femi Darabidan a business and financial planning expert emphasized on the power of finance and proper strategy in business with having a business plan. Registration of business name and running such business professionally.
Mrs Oyenike the founder of Ibadan Entrepreneur Network gave her juicy insight on the length she went to ensure that having worked in a marketing firm doesn’t make you know all it entails, as proper strategy and learning helped her to where she is at the moment, she also emphasized on the need to be a good listener and student.
Also speaking at the event was Irabor Pacqueens (the state manager of the Bank of Industry, BOI) who highlighted the plans they have set up for the fashion industry and what every fashion designer stands to benefit from loans, grants to conferences, training and much more.
It all ended with questions and answers where fashion enthusiasts in attendance asked varying questions based on the experiences shared by the various speakers and in the end enjoined the organizers to ensure continuity and make the event a yearly affair.
