Hi there,

It’s 6th edition of Ibadan Insider Fashion & Style. Yippie!

Still on our African heritage, this is another design by @peaceperfectpiece. Today, I have her Adire collection. I have the definition below for those that don’t know what Adire is.

Adire (Yoruba: tie and dye) textile is the indigo-dyed cloth made in southwestern Nigeria by Yoruba women, using a variety of resist-dyeing techniques.

The centre of production for hand painted cloths was the city of Ibadan. The city itself was celebrated in one of the common patterns which was known as Ibadan dun, ‘Ibadan is good’ in Yoruba.

Amongst people like Mitchelle Obama and Lupita Nyogo who have worn this beautiful fabric, @peaceperfectpiece is also bringing it back but with a sassy look.

The Peaceperfectpiece Adire collection features the vibrantly coloured Adire known as Kampala. This collection comes in dresses and trousers.

Let’s have a look.
