Why in the World Would Someone Choose Black Soap Over Shampoo?

This was the question that streamed through my mind the first time I saw my friend use black soap to wash her hair. Even though, I was intrigued, my initial  thought was that she was trying to economize. All my life I had known black soap to be bath soap, not a shampoo. I had to ask her why she was using it and she told me she preferred it to shampoo. Why in the world would someone leave all the luxurious shampoos available and use a local black soap?

Well, I got an answer to that question when I started using black soap to wash my natural hair as well. Let me start with the smell. The smell is pretty intoxicating. Really Great Scent! Probably because it contains (Camwood extract) citrus juices and native honey with aloe vera and natural vitamins.

Each bar of  soap weighs 150 Grams (5.2 ounces). So it’s easy to carry around. The foams and bubbles of the soap can make you wash your hair forever. I feel good running my fingers through the foams. Since it’s really foamy, you only need a little quantity of the soap.

Anytime I use Dudu Osun to wash my hair, I feel healthy. This is simply because it cleanses my scalp thoroughly. It gives my scalp the boost it needs with deep cleansing it gently cleanses and soothes dry, itchy and flaking scalps.

Another reason l like Dudu Osun is because it is highly cost efficient. It sells at an average price of N200. I can use one bar of Dudu Osun to wash my hair in 6 months or more depending on how often I wash my hair.

Though Dudu Osun is good for my hair, I don’t like the fact that it makes my hair dry so I have to add more conditioner to my hair. Therefore, if you’re looking for a moisturized hair, this won’t be your choice because Dudu Osun black soap is best used to clarify your hair and remove buildup.

Dudu Osun did not “magically” grow my hair or anything like that, but its healing vitamins and minerals made it very hard for my hair not to thrive and grow in a nourished, clean and healthy environment.  It is 100% natural and it is free from chemicals, dyes, preservative sand synthetic fragrances so it has been the best for my hair.

If you want a healthy hair and scalp, I feel you should give Dudu Osun a try.
