Shooting Stars Football Club In Fight For Survival

Fans and friends of Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan would this weekend have their attention on proceedings at the Bako Kontagora Stadium as their beloved team would be involved in a crunch encounter with Niger Tornadoes in a match that would determine their stay or relegation from the summit of elite football in Nigeria.

Going into this weekend’s encounter, Shooting Stars are level on points with Wikki Tourists football club of Bauchi and only hold the ace against the Bauchi based club on the basis of superior goal difference which may eventually determine which of the sides would be playing in the top tier of Nigerian football next season. Wikki would be playing against an already relegated Gombe United who would be playing in Nigerian National League (NNL) come next season.

It is not yet uhuru for Niger Tornadoes as well as they only lead Shooting Stars by a solitary point and both teams would give their all on the pitch in order to ensure the safety of their top flight status.

However, at the top end of the league standings, Plateau United hold a slender one point buffer between them and second placed MFM FC of Lagos who would be playing a tricky away tie at Maiduguri against El-Kanemi warriors, while  Kenedy Boboye led Plateau United would be up against defending champions Rangers FC of Enugu.

All matches would be played simultaneously tomorrow 9th September 2017 by 4PM and fans can follow actions from all venues across the country via social media using the hashtag #NPFLFinalDay17
