Ajimobi nominates Alao Akala’s son as LG caretaker chairman
The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly read the nomination list of caretaker committee chairmanship of local government areas and the newly created local council development areas (LCDAs) of the state as complied by Governor Abiola Ajimobi at the plenary, yesterday.
The announcement came a day after two factions in APC had a clash over alleged favoritism in the choice of candidates in support of the Governor of Oyo State against the group of the former Governor in the state, late Alhaji Lam Adesina.
The nomination list include Governor Ajimobi’s nephew, Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi as caretaker chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government ; the son of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, Olamijuwonlo as Ogbomoso North Local Government chairman caretaker ; the son of the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade I, Prince Gbade Lana for Ibadan North East LCDA made the list.
The nomination list covers 28 of the 33 local government areas, and 29 of the 35 LCDAs, making a total of 57 nominees. The excluded local governments and LCDAs include Afijio, Atiba, Oyo West, and Oyo East and their LCDAs.
