During the last weekend, a Yoruba man and Hausa man got into a fight over N200. This happened at Onipe, a village in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo state.
According to an anonymous source, the disagreement subsided with the intervention of an aide to the former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina, Mr Kehinde Olaosebikan, as well as the Nigeria Policemen.
The ssource stated further that the Yoruba man injured the Hausa man. This made the Hausa community leader, Dongodaji, to invite the police over , to arrest the Yoruba youths around. Although the Yoruba community wants to settle the issue amicably with bringing in the police.
The Seriki Hausa, Dongodaji, while speaking with the newsmen, said:
“I only involved the police in the matter to avoid the matter escalating. We all know what happened in Ile-Ife recently, I do not want such to happen here and that was the reason for my action. But now, the issue has been put to rest and we are now living in peace with one another.”
