Shooting Stars To Restructure Ahead of NNL Season

Shooting stars sports club is set to restructure and prepare for life in the Nigerian National League (NNL) which is the second tier of league football in the country having been relegated at the end of the 2016/2017 league season after a three years spell which for large part has been laced with relegation dog fight.

The restructuring within the team setup has begun within twenty players been axed and twenty being retained. Prominent among the retained twenty are club captain Seun Akinyemi, defender Alaba Osawe and goalkeepers Adamu Abubakar and Michael Uweru.

 

Notable departure includes former Sunshine Stars midfielder Moses James, former Sharks FC goalkeeper Charles Tambe and former Warri Wolves attacker Abu Azeez who were all affected by the club’s restructuring.

There are uncertainties about the coaching crew and backroom staff and coaching crew as the future of head coach Fatai Amao hangs in the balance.
