The Vice-President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has advised Nigerian youths that getting a University degree, coming from a well-to-do family does not guarantee one’s success in life.
He charged the youths while he was speaking at Lead City University, Ibadan 10th convocation on Thursday 9th of November where he was the special guest, to make good use of their youth to acquire many feats as time waits for no man.
590 students were awarded first degree in different disciplines while 39 bagged first class.
Yemi Osinbajo, said, “I was 60 years old in March this year, and I must confess that one of the greatest surprises I ever experienced was that I just suddenly became 60. I can clearly remember when I graduated from the university. I was 21 years old at the time, how time flies!”,
“One of the important lessons that you will learn is that time flies whether you are wasting it or using it well. It simply flies back. At age 60 years, I am here to give some advice”
The Vice President in his address, who was also accompanied by the Oyo state Governor, Abiola Ajimobi said he is certain that Lead City University would one day be ranked among top 10 best universities in Nigeria.
