Ten Amazing People In The World who started out from Ibadan
Ibadan have always been home to great individuals around the world. Here is a cursory look at some of such individuals who have put themselves and the city on the world map.
ABDUL HAMID ADIAMOH
He was born in Ibadan on 14th September 1974. He attended Ibadan Grammar School and Ladoke Akintola University in Ogbomoso. He traveled from Nigeria to the Gambia in 1996 where he established himself as a journalist. He is the publisher of Today newspaper in the Gambia.
He was born and raised in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a Professor of African Studies at Amherst College, as well as an associate editor of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia in African History. His major works include

PROF. REMI SONAIYA
She was born, raised and schooled in Ibadan at St. Luke’s Demonstration School, and St. Anne’s School, Molete She was Nigeria’s only female presidential candidate in 2015 general election under the platform of the KOWA party.
She was born in Ibadan though a native of Akwa Ibom. She started her career as a practicing nurse at University College Hospital Ibadan before relocating to the United Kingdom. She was the only female presidential aspirant in Nigeria under the platform of the United National Party for Development in 2011
CHIEF AFE BABALOLA
He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Founder of Afe Babalola University. He started his law practice from Ibadan as litigation lawyer at Olu Ayoola & Co. before establishing his own law firm (Emmanuel Chambers)
SEGUN AKINLOLU (BEAUTIFUL NUBIA)
He was born in Ibadan in 1968. He is a graduate of Vetinary Medicine from University of Ibadan. He is well versed in Nigerian folklore and his music is majorly themed around this subject matter. His third album Jangbalajugbu has the hit song Owuro lojo which most Nigerians listen to as a dose to start a new day as it is loaded with inspiration and hope for a new day
He is an Ondo Indigene and presently the governor of Ondo State. He started his law practice in Ibadan. He is also a senior advocate of Nigeria and former president of Nigerian bar association. He is fondly known as AKETI
CHIEF KOLA DAISI
He is a business man and an Ibadan Chief. He owns the Kola Daisi foundation as well as Kola Daisi University
He was born on 3rd March 1943. His primary and secondary education was in Ibadan. He is one of the richest Nigerian Business men and philanthropist.
He was the first Ibadan Indegene to obtain a university degree, he was also the first Anglican diocesan bishop of Ibadan
