As much as people have declared and stated their ambition, towards Oyo state 2019 election, more interested individuals, are still coming out to declare their intentions.
Bayo Adelabu, a former deputy governor of the central bank Nigeria, born in Ibadan, has finally given his words, and he’s set to contest for the governorship position of the prestigious Oyo state, in the All Progressive Congress party.
Adelabu, who is the chairman of the Oyo State Security Trust Fund committee visited the graveside of his grandfather, the Ibadan South East APC Secretariat and the Oyo APC Party Secretariat with his followers.
Speaking at a public function to mark this year’s June 12 anniversary celebration, Adelabu explained that “his decision to go into active politics was not for personal or selfish purpose, but to offer quality service that will enhance the living standard of the masses in the pacesetters state, which he tagged “live and let live”.
“No sacrifice is too much. I have just dumped my job as the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, not because I am old; not because I am tired; not because I cannot continue, the few years I spent, the president commended me for it. But no sacrifice is too much for one’s state”.
